 | 2010 M.S. Read-A-ThonA HUGE SUCCESS!Well, the results are in and we surpassed last year's numbers for the MS Read-A-Thon. Swan Hills School students recorded 77,633 minutes and raised a whopping $2, 273.50 to help people with Multiple Sclerosis. Way to go! Congratulations to the winners of the M.S. Read-A-Thon. The winners of the pizza parties are…in Division 1: Grade 1 for reading 11,885 minutes also for raising the most: $377.00. Division 2 winners are Grade 5/6 for reading an unbelievable 20,958 minutes, and Grade 5 for raising $648.40 The top reader and fundraiser in each division and each class have received credit certificates to spend at the Book Fair next month. The top reader and fund-raiser in the school, as well as our official school totals, will be a secret until the prizes come back from the M.S. Society in a few weeks. Congratulations and thank you to the winners and to everyone who participated. Whether you recorded your reading and/or raised money, you have helped to make everyone aware of the challenges faced by the thousands of people in Alberta who suffer with Multiple Sclerosis.
