Two Grade 4 students and a Grade 7 student presented their science projects at the Edmonton Regional Science Fair this past weekend. All three were recognized by the Chemical Institute of Canada for their knowledge and application of Chemistry in their projects. Jordyn, Owen, and Aden, received certificates and a periodic table. Owen also brought home an ACPA Alberta Chemist Award.
Aden, in the Junior High judging category for the first time this year, aspires to qualify as a member of the Edmonton Science Team with a berth at the Nationals. With an ACPA Rick Dillen Memorial Award Honourable Mention for his project, ‘The Science of Blood Typing’, and the determination to apply the judges’ suggestions, he is well on his way to his goal.
