Every Christmas for the past few years, the Swan Hills School Division 3/4 Students’ Union has donated to the Swan Hills Food Bank and hopes to continue to make this a yearly tradition. This most recent Christmas Season, the Div. 3/4 Students’ Union generously donated $200 to this worthy cause. The students recognize the enthusiastic and kind-hearted support that the Swan Hills community has always provided and wanted to do their part to give back to people that may be experiencing difficulties during the Christmas Season.

The Students’ Union raises money by hosting raffles and maintaining their own vending machines in the Div. 3/4 Students’ Lounge. On top of donating to the community, the Students’ Union uses the money they raise to purchase sports equipment for the school, provide prizes and decorations at school dances and events, help furnish the Div. 3/4 Students’ Lounge, and they even support a foster child from Africa. That is some incredible work!

The Div. 3/4 Students’ Union meets at lunch on Wednesdays every 1 – 2 weeks, and they meet with the school administration every 2 – 3 months to discuss upcoming events and any issues of concern. Kara King and Kim Hooey serve as teacher supervisors to this energetic team of leaders.

Keep up the fantastic job Students’ Union members, you’re doing incredible work!
