Swan Hills School is pleased to welcome three new staff members for the 2018-2019 school year.
Michelle Tran is the new Jr./Sr. High science teacher at Swan Hills School. She is a recent graduate from the University of Alberta, where she specialized in Physics and Math. She is very excited to begin her career in Swan Hills and hopes to motivate and encourage all of her students this year.
Tanya Thomas is the Child and Youth Mentor for the PAWS Program at Swan Hills School. She has a Bachelor of Social Work degree and has enjoyed working with families and youth for over a decade. As the former Family School Liaison, Tanya has worked in the Swan Hills School on a part-time basis since 2015 and is very excited to now be in the school on a daily basis. Tanya lives in Swan Hills with her family and enjoys taking part in community activities with her children.
Emily Macleod is a Wellness Mentor for the P.A.W.S Program at Swan Hills School. She creates and leads lunchtime and after-school programs that aim to promote good mental health. Emily has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, is a qualified ESL Teacher, and has worked in schools in both England and Thailand. Originally from England, she has been living in Canada since 2015 and is excited to make Swan Hills her new home.
