School Closure Didn’t Stop These Students From Trying to Trap Leprechauns

Everyone knows that leprechauns have a pot of gold stashed away for a rainy day and if you can catch one on St. Patrick’s Day, he’ll give it to you as a bribe to let him go. You must be careful though; if you take your eyes off the leprechaun for a second, he will disappear!

Leprechauns love shiny things, especially gold coins, so that’s what students placed in their creative and whimsical leprechaun traps. The traps were to be brought to school last Monday to be set up overnight before the March 17th leprechaun invasion.

This, as we know, was not possible but that didn’t deter the students from the challenge; they set the traps in their homes instead. Alas, the little creatures proved their devious reputation. They played their naughty tricks, stole the gold to add to their stashes, and then escaped to steal again next year.
